Sr. Director of Finance, Operations:
The Sr. Director of Jimmy Choo Finance, Operations will be responsible for all aspects of finance across Jimmy Choo Florence supply chain organisation and the two directly operated shoe factories, bringing together the three finance organisations under central Jimmy Choo leadership.
Reporting to the Jimmy Choo Vice President Supply Chain and Industrial Operations (with a dotted line to the Senior Vice President, CFO & Operations), the successful candidate will build, organize and structure the finance teams, processes and controls in the global Jimmy Choo supply chain and shoe factories, establishing an efficient and effective environment from which to grow and develop the global supply chain, assisting the brand in achieving challenging growth and margin objectives.
Working with senior Supply Chain management and Corporate Finance Teams to build robust financial accounting, financial forecasting and commercial control systems and processes for the businesses and making sure that these are operating effectively. Ensuring that that reporting, forecasting and commercial analysis is relevant, reliable and effective rigour is applied to all decision making across the Supply Chain organisation. In addition, you will take responsibility for the IT and Legal functions within the Supply Chain.
Key activities will include: leading the accounting and controlling for all parts of the Supply Chain organisation; regular financial forecasting and updates in line with the group timetable. Working with Supply Chain and Finance Teams across the three businesses to: define, recruit, lead and manage Supply Chain finance teams to ensure the flow of robust and relevant information; establish and maintain accounting principles, practices, procedures and records. The role is responsible for the financial capital and operational strategic plans, budgets, forecasts for the entire supply chain organisation. This position will be the strategic and tactical leader for financial initiatives across the Jimmy Choo supply chain.
Main responsibilities include:
Managing the finance functions for JCF and the two shoe factories ensuring the accounts are accurate, complete, and delivered on time to group and statutory requirements
Making sure that the three organisations are fully compliant with all Group and local statutory requirements
Maintaining a strategic financial plan, budget and forecast for all elements of the supply chain identifying variances, developing solutions to resolve issues and identifying areas for improvement
Leading and managing individual commercial projects ensuring that projects are delivered in full, on time and to budget and deliver against commercial requirements
Ensuring that financial systems and processes are implemented and operate in an efficient and effective way
Designing, building and leading the Supply Chain finance organisation to support JCF and shoe factory operations
Implementing robust financial analysis and commercial rigour to all Supply Chain projects, ensuring the analysis is accurate, complete and understood by the business
Developing and implementing a robust financial control environment and ensure that controls are in place and operating effectively for all parts of the organisation
Monitoring the financial performance of the global supply chain and shoe factories to identify variances and key trends, regularly reviewing discrepancies with senior management and other stakeholders
Establishing clear financial objectives and responsibilities for managing supply chain cost improvement activities including margin improvement initiatives
Lead, manage and develop the accounting, controlling, legal, IT in Italy and in Switzerland
Competencies and Experience Required:
Qualified accountant with previous Supply Chain finance experience from manufacturing and distribution businesses
Extensive and proven track record of driving change and transformation in global supply companies
Good team leader and manager
Proven commercial analysis and decision making in a Supply Chain environment
Experience in a complex global financial environment
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Fluent English and Italian
Knowledge and understanding of the luxury market, customer service and fashion
Successfully handles multiple demands and competing priorities in a multinational business
Demonstrable skills of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Powerpoint
