The Role
In this role, you will translate application needs and technology trends into requirements for our future hardware and software platforms. You will investigate customer needs, analyze relevant standards and competitive products, and evaluate new system architectures and optimizations through hands-on feasibility studies. Working closely with vendors, customers, product teams, and internal engineering organizations, you will define and influence the features and architectural capabilities our products need to win.
What you’ll be doing
Research emerging applications, technologies, standards, and market trends relevant to future IoT products.
Perform end-application and competitive-product analysis.
Lead hands-on feasibility studies and architectural tradeoff analyses for new system concepts, technologies, and optimizations.
Collaborate with hardware, software, systems, and customer-facing teams to validate requirements and architectural decisions.
Identify product capabilities and differentiator needed to address target applications and win in the market.
Influence technical and product-roadmap decisions by clearly communicating recommendations, tradeoffs, risks, and investment needs to engineering and senior leadership.
Provide mentorship to less-experienced engineers and technical guidance across projects.
Minimum Qualifications
BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent with 8+ years of industry experience
Basic understanding of hardware IP architecture, development and verification
A strong understanding of embedded microcontroller architectures and features
A good understanding of embedded application design: requirement analysis, HW design, firmware and application development, bench evaluation, and debugging
Experience in embedded coding, IoT application development and Proof of Concepts
Experience with one or more RTOS – Free RTOS, Zephyr preferred
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with compute simulators such as Fixed Virtual Platform and deploying ML models on HW accelerators
Experience developing and profiling machine learning kernels or other DSP algorithms
Experience with IoT systems
Experience with virtualization and containerization
Experience developing and profiling machine learning models in frameworks such as Tensorflow, Pytorch, and Jax
Experience working on audio and vision systems at the edge/embedded
Experience using lab equipment: oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, etc.

The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between Ft14,089,250 - Ft26,165,750. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location where work will be performed and applicant’s skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus, equity package and a comprehensive benefits package.
